Can I travel to The Bahamas without a passport using only my birth certificate or drivers license?
No, ALL passengers traveling to The Bahamas MUST have a valid passport.
I am not a US citizen, what documents will I need to travel to The Bahamas?
A valid green card, permanent resident card, valid VISA or an I-94 from the airline you arrived into the US with along with your valid passport.
Is there any long-term parking available?
Yes, where we are based at F45, parking is free. Make certain to register your vehicle with the Front Desk before your departure.
Can I bring alcoholic beverages to the Bahamas?
Yes, you may bring 2-bottles of wine and 1-quart spirits per person (duty free).
Can I bring fruit or vegetables with me?
Yes, for domestic travel (within the 48-contiguous US States) you may bring whatever you choose. For travel to The Bahamas, you may ONLY bring canned or frozen fruits or vegetables, NO fresh fruits or vegetables are permitted.
Can I expect any additional fees?
Yes, if you are traveling to The Bahamas, you will need to pay a $15 per person Bahamian departure tax for everyone over the age of six (6).
Additionally, The Bahamian Islands charge an overtime fee for the Customs and Immigration officer, if you arrive or depart on any weekend or holiday and before 9AM or after 5PM, Monday through Friday. This fee varies depending on the rank of the officer on duty and usually ranges between $75 - $125 for the entire aircraft. Please note that the additional fees are cash only, US or Bahamian dollars.
